STEP 1: THE PREREQUISITE

Soil Testing & System Design ($750 – $1,000)

Every successful septic system starts with the soil. Before we can dig, we coordinate with a licensed soil scientist to test your land's percolation rate. This isn't just a formality—it is the legal requirement that dictates exactly which system your property is allowed to have.

  • Why is this separate? The results of this test determine if you can save money with a Basic system or if regulations require an Advanced design.

  • What you get: A full soil analysis and a custom system design approved for your specific lot.

OPTION A: THE STANDARD SOLUTION

Basic Gravity Systems ($6,500 – $15,000)

For properties with "good" soil (high percolation rates) and flat terrain, we install the standard gravity-fed system. This is the most common and cost-effective option. We install a durable concrete tank, lateral lines, and gravel fields that rely on simple gravity to filter waste naturally through the ground.

  • Who qualifies? Landowners with passing soil tests and no major slope issues.

  • Pricing factors: The final cost depends on the size of your home (number of bedrooms) and the tank capacity required by code.

OPTION B: THE ADVANCED SOLUTION

Aerobic Systems / ATUs ($14,000 – $35,000)

In Jasper and Greene County, many properties have rocky terrain or heavy clay soil that cannot absorb waste fast enough for a standard system. In these cases, we install an Advanced Aerobic Treatment Unit (ATU). Think of this as a small-scale water treatment plant right in your yard. It treats wastewater aggressively before releasing it into drip fields, ensuring your land and local water sources stay safe.

  • Who needs this? This is required if your soil test shows low percolation (rock/clay) or if your lot has difficult spacing constraints.

  • What you get: A top-rated ATU, pump systems, and drip distribution fields designed for difficult terrain.

ONGOING CARE

Maintenance Services

Septic systems—especially Advanced ones—are not "set it and forget it." We provide ongoing maintenance to ensure your pumps, aerators, and control panels function correctly year-round. Regular checks prevent costly backups and extend the life of your investment.

  • Recommendation: Ask us about our annual maintenance contracts to keep your system compliant without the headache.
